How to size a dental air compressor
A dental compressor must deliver enough clean, dry air at working pressure during peak demand. Motor power or receiver volume alone does not show whether a system fits the connected dental units.
Calculate simultaneous demand
Count the dental units and air-consuming devices that can operate at the same time, then compare their required flow at working pressure. Include realistic peak use, leakage allowance and future expansion without relying only on a chairs-per-compressor label.
Specify delivered dental air quality
